Edge computing in public safety
This presentation is given by Simon Ingram, Sales & Business Development, IoT, Emerging Edge, TE Connectivity.
With the adoption of ESN for critical communications as well as the increasing utilisation of public 5G networks for data-intensive applications, it is more important than ever to take consideration of Radio Frequency (RF) performance when integrating these systems into vehicles and infrastructure. Simon Ingram explores how we can take lessons learned through decades of narrowband use and apply them in a similar way to broadband, whist noting some key differences which can have a big impact when done correctly.
During the talk Simon gives some real-world anecdotes and undertakes a live demonstration using real equipment to get across the true impact to users of a well-designed solution.
