Panel discussion: How can we move from 4G to 5G to 6G?
The speakers in this panel discussion are:
As Tetra and P-25 for decades have been the leading technologies for nationwide digital public safety radio systems, it has also for many years been a fact that the future cannot be met without mission critical broadband solutions.
It was early agreed that mission critical broadband should be developed within the family of LTE and 4G, and due to hard and dedicated work by many over the last ten years, mission critical requirements are now included in the 3GPP-standard. And the job is not done. Many governments have ongoing projects with the objective to move from narrowband to broadband by the end of this decade. Some have started implementations, either as service providers/MVNOs or through service contracts, and some have not yet decided on business models and funding.
An outspoken benefit from using commercial technology is to be part of the faster development of technology and services. 4G was on everyone's mouth ten years ago, now it is all about 5G. And perhaps even 6G. This panel will discuss how and when it is best to move to 5G and potentially 6G.
