Panel discussion: The future of control rooms

28 October 2022

PART TWO: This panel discussion highlights the technological evolution of control rooms and emergency communications centres (ECCs) needed in order to meet the changing demands and data provided by public safety operators

Many people will never need the police or other emergency services but for those that do, the first person they contact is, more often than not, a member of staff in the contact team or control room. That first contact and the actions generated can have a life changing effect, and the roles of this team in the future will only become more critical as demand continues to evolve.

This panel discussion highlights the technological evolution of control rooms and emergency communications centres (ECCs) needed in order to meet the changing demands and data provided by public safety operators.

Ken Rehbehn chairs this panel discussion, with presenters David Jackson, Director of Business Engagement, Police Digital Service and Salla Levonen, Application Specialist in Emergency Response Centre Agency, Finland.
