So Ray Castle was founded in 1958, and we are, we've become over the period the
gold standard in training for the telecommunications industry.
If we go back to our our history and recent history, we've trained and we still have
training material, starting with 2G, Tetrol, GSMR all the way through
LTE and 5G. We currently.
Train most of Vodafone's engineers across the Vodafone group.
So we're really embedded in training the telecommunications industry.
What's brought us here is that we see that there are 3 strands of change happening
at the same time in this industry, and that's indications.
SCS in the rail industry that event is going to be in a few weeks' time and also in the utility
industry which is well represented here today.
We see those drivers of change and we know that those organised or we can help those
organisations, particularly as there's a migration, people are going to use public
networks more and we have the knowledge of having trained the people at one of the leading
networks. So for us
it's about networking and meeting other people and and understanding the problems.
I have to say that I came here and spoke today and asked a very simple question during this
event. The question is, What's going to power your
generators in 2030? I thought it was a very innocent question,
but it's turned out actually to get to the fundamental practical core of what's happening
in the telecommunications industry, and that issue is.
Hardening networks because public networks by their very nature are commercial beasts and
they don't really have the redundancy and resilience that you might expect in a political
communications network.
A very innocent question put to the real heart of it.
OK, so that's a great question, and for us it's 1958.
The point is that there's a transition going on in these industries.
You have, in when you're in a situation of transition, you need to understand.
The legacy that you have and what way you want to get,
that's what Ray Castle has. We have the knowledge of,
for example, Tetram, for example, GSMR, and of course 4G and 5G.
So if you want, if you want people who can upskill your organisation,
it's a good idea to come to people who know both rather than just marketing as such.
