BroadWay and BroadGNSS - Realising pan-European operational mobility for public safety responders
BroadWay is a pre-commercial procurement project, supported by European Commission DG. Its purpose is to procure innovation towards realising the capability of operational mobility, allowing responders to carry out their operations wherever they are across Europe, whenever they need to, and with whoever they are tasked to cooperate.
Suppliers in Phase 3 are Airbus and Frequentis, who will implement pan-European TRL8 pilot systems within June and July 2022.
New PCP BroadGNSS will also be presented which will procure innovation activity for applications, synchronisation and monitoring of critical mobile broadband communication infrastructure and information assets for public protection and disaster recovery (PPDR) operations.
This presentation will provide background, current status, and plans towards live rollout of the operational system and governance which will interconnect national mission critical mobile networks, all based upon the foundation of 3GPP standards.
